nothing in life is free

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon in Canary Wharf (surrounded by big banks and massive corporation headquarters, YES! It’s like New York’s financial distric). I thought it was nice to find some open space event that was 1.open to the public and 2.free. As I went to grab a plastic mat to take a seat, I was informed that there would be a 1£ “donation” fee, to which I obliged. So I was wrong about the latter.

 I guess I’ve been spoiled by the free concerts put on in NYC.
